As a world leading producer of beef and agricultural products and Australia’s largest beef producer, Waco has a long and arrogant history. At the last of the Second World War, the company became a specialized cattle enterprise and in the 1950’s Santa Gertrudis cattle were introduced to upgrade the Shorthorn herds. Also in 1994, the buy of a further breeding station, Austral Downs in the Northern Territory, led to specialization of cattle production to maintain lofty growth rates. In 2003 Anthony established Macquarie’s agricultural funds management business and as the head of this business was responsible for over 3 million hectares of operations in a range of agricultural enterprises including beef production. Anthony has a range of continuing non executive directorships with companies within or associated with the Macquarie Group. In 2012 he was appointed a member of the Order of Australia for services to the profession of accounting, to scrupulous standards, as a contributor to professional organizations, and to the community. Tom keen has an extensive career in agriculture and is the former Managing Director of Graincorp Limited, where he established the company as a listed entity. Mr Heisman is a Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors of the Tavistock Group. Since joining the steady in 2004, he has held multiple roles including chairing Tavistock Group’s Investment Committee and having the general counsel and Chief Financial Officer report into him. Neil spends maximum of his time busy with portfolio companies within the Tavistock Group. He has more than 20 years’ experience across the beef supply chain, and brings important industry knowledge and strategic marketing capabilities to Waco. Gerard Davis joined Waco in September 2014 as the General Manager of Innovation and Technology, a newly created role responsible for establishing and managing Waco’s technology and innovation development and implementation. Gerard has important experience in innovation, technology development and commercialization across agribusiness and livestock industries in companies ranging in size from start up to multinational. Tony brings significant agribusiness expertise and experience to the company having worked with Stan broke for 10 years, most recently as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role Tony was responsible for the operations of the business from livestock production and purchasing, back grounding, feedlot, processing to sales and marketing. Henry is passionate about the beef industry and the people who labor in it, having worked on cattle properties throughout his career. Earlier to joining Waco, Greg worked at and managed Aronui Feedlot for 15 years and has a assets of experience in feedlot ting and Wagyu breeding, performance and evaluation. Earlier to this Michael worked for Stan broke Pastoral Company where he gained extensive experience in the Australian cattle industry, progressing his career from stock man into management roles across a number of enterprises throughout Northern Australia. Michael is passionate about northern beef production systems and the development of people within it. Earlier to joining Waco, Ray gained extensive pastoral experience in northern Australia in farming, feedlots and stud cattle. Our environment and sustainability initiatives are focused on respecting the natural resource systems we rely on. Information about our instinctive resource wealth including soils, vegetation, and water systems is impaired to make informed decisions for managing our automatic resources sustainable and to address environmental risks. Development planning is conducted with consideration of the capacity of natural resources, government compliance and investigation of the application of alternative practice and technological advances. Today, Waco owns and operates a strategic balance of properties, feedlots and farms comprising around 7 million hectares of land in Queensland and the Northern Territory.
